What do you call a lady blacksmith? I don't know, but you certainly stay out of the way of her hammer!

Look at all the Pretty People

These folks were strolling down Rodeo Drive in Hollywood, California. I've never seen such opulence and overt display of wealth as I have on Rodeo Drive. I honestly felt a little guilty strolling among them.

I really thought this Stranger would be startled when this water snake swam up behind her. Instead, she grabbed the snake and kissed it. I guess you can never truly predict human behavior.

the man in black

not the best colour to wear when it's 90 degrees plus. it didn't seem to bother this stranger too much though, he was quite happy to just stand in the sun chatting to a friend on his phone.

are you fast enough?

we were at a christian conference this week in the south of england and i stumbled across this guy on the last day. i have to say that i don't think this particular stranger is going to break any records with his score. he sat down ready to to do business - his little boy wasn't impressed and wandered off.

I Scream, You Scream...

When the temperature gets up into the 90s what better way to take a break than when the Good Humor man comes a callin'. Playing that catchy little tune that seems to be dragging a bit from having been played one too many times lets everyone know he's coming and to start scrounging up some coinage. Sadly though, it appears as if this Good Humor man is looking to get out of the business since it appears his truck is for sale.

Transportation - which is better, old or new?

The juxtaposition of the motorcycle and the sailing vessel made for an interesting shot. This was taken in Paris in 2002.

But How Does It End?

This stranger is reading the latest Harry Potter book in a small park near where we live in NYC. I took this shot through the swing area and a fence to where she was sitting. I don't yet have the skill for taking photos close up of strangers without looking like a stalker.

Lunch with a view...

These Strangers feasted on the sights of the gorgeous Big Sur coastline. Not a bad spot to get off the road and grab a bite.

Learning To Fly

A Stranger learning to hang glide in Jockey's Ridge State Park in Nags Head, NC. It also has a Stranger teaching the other Stranger, it's a two for one Stranger picture (now twice as strange for the price of one). One of the outfitters down there sell lessons in hang gliding. Given that this may involve people who potentially don't know what they're doing and may include falling I can completely understand wanting to engage in this activity over sand (which may at least be a bit softer if you fell than just hitting the ground).

Could you have been a contender?

During a trip to Dayton, OH for a wedding we were walking downtown and came across these strangers having a boxing class on the street outside of a gym. It isn't the best picture because I always feel weird taking shots of strangers and since we were the only people on the street some of them were looking at us and it was obvious what I was doing.
