Feel the Breeze...

These Strangers are enjoying the World Naked Bike Ride (NSFW) in Vancouver. What a way to enjoy the summertime air.

I cannot imagine riding a bike in that state. I always wear my bike shorts with built-in padding. No-way I'd go any length of time on a bike without that!

You have something against Vancouver? :-)

good one, james.

I happen to have enough padding that I don't need any built-in.

Unfortunately.

that is just plain wrong, and i don't understand how it's legal?
think of the children passing by.
it's another case of people doing something simply because they can - without thinking about whether it's wrong or not.
(it's funny though!)

Pretty controversial, I admit. I guess it depends on your attitude toward nudity. I'm sure some would view this as hedonistic.

Others are suggesting that this is a form of attention-getting protest (indeed) to draw focus onto the issue of carbon-belching automobiles.

I'm sure there are others still that view this as just an excuse to get naked.

Well, I think its fantastic. Its these types of silly events that define a city and its character. Otherwise, the world is bland.

Sure, there is controversy, but awareness comes from controversy...even if it is just awareness that there are odd folks out there :)

surely we're all aware that there are odd folks out there without them having to go round starkers on their bikes shouting "i'm mad look at me!".
