Dressing for work...

I really like the striking contrast of these work "uniforms". On the left...two of the Vatican's Swiss Guards in their colorful garb. On the right...a Vatican paper-pusher in an Italian suit.

shades of winter

gone are the bright summer tones, the hawaiian shirts, the gaudy dresses and the flip-flops, the stroll through the park in shorts.
they are transformed into the greys and browns of winter, the extra thick socks and boots, the wooly hats and gloves, the brisk chilly walk to the comfort of the warm cafe.

Its been slow on Strangers...so I thought I would go wild and put up a second in one day :) I don't think I even need a caption for this colorful street performer on a hot Roman afternoon.

I love this cheery Stranger. In the midst of busting Rome, she sat down with a big cone of gelato in hand and thought happy thoughts.
