Does "handmade" equal "art"...
This Stranger was hand making delicate birds out of reeds on the streets of Florence. But she is also one of dozens of Strangers we spotted across Italy making the exact same trinkets. Clearly there is a beautiful aspect to these birds...but is this art?

I'd say no.
me too...
but even if it's tat (which imho this is) it could still be considered art by some.
I've noticed that in lots of touristy places before... it always makes me sad to think that people can make more money reproducing a certain aesthetic than they can creating their own work.
there's art and then there're crafts - "activity involving skill in making things by hand". there're obviously times when these two coincide. These lovely birds would seem to be a "craft."
