Public fountain...

The fountain in Justin Herman Plaza is a sunny, midday hangout for tourists and locals. If you don't live in San Francisco, you might recall the fountain in these photos as the backdrop for an impromptu concert in U2's Rattle and Hum movie.

You guys got yourself an interesting blog. My sister sent me the link as she discovered it and I was hooked. I browsed briefly and linked you from my blog.

I never do this so soon. Love this picture. Where exactly is this fountain? Next time we visit, I want to check this out.

Justin Herman Plaza is at the end of Market Street in San Francisco...near the historic Ferry Building. In the U2 video, you can see the former elevated freeway that ran in front of the Ferry Building. That freeway was tron down after the 1989 earthquake. So, the video captures an interesting bit of SF history. Thanks for checking us out.

The way the Civil Libertarians in Australia are getting their plain old cotton undies in a knot bigger than a circus elephant over people taking photos, this sort of thing would lead to an arrest or a picket line of some description being set up outside your house. You’d certainly end up on a current affair show. Parents can’t even take photos of their own kids at sporting events, in case someone else’s child winds up in the frame. It’s ludicrous...

I only found this blog a couple of days ago and have linked it on my page already. I love the concept and the fact you have the balls to take photos of strangers. In a world where personal safety is a concept gone mad, this is an innocent window into the lives of strangers.
