I bumped into these two in the airport. I am pretty sure this girl's great grandfather was escorting her back to her parents. I was amazed at how well they got on. They had no ipods, game boys, or anything. The chatted and laughed and smiled when her parents called frequently to check up on the two of them.

I am a big believer in extended families...more kids should have access to this kind of interaction.

yes so very true.My father used to take my wife and two small daughters out to shop,or for a walk in the garden down thelane,and it used to be lovely to see the kids and grandpa laughing and telling jokes to each other,as though they are pals.Alas my daughter is now married,and my dad is no more,but i watch themovies we made of them,and it brings tears when i see them.
