Why The Long Face?
Last weekend when we took the kids to the park there was a horse auction going on. While my wife wouldn't let me buy a horse I was able to get this picture of a stranger leading their horse to the auction.

I'm really quite fond of this shot. The two profiles peeking in from the edge are perfect.
Why the long face... because she is about to auction off a friend, a member of the family, the one who has heard all her complaints and comments for the past several years. No one would question the long face if auctioning off a dog or cat. But believe me, you can get just as attached to a horse and it is very sad when it time to part ways.
