Well I truly am a stranger here, albeit one given gracious permission by the blog's creators to contribute. I look forward to your comments and, of course, pictures.
And for my first post, one of my favorite Stranger pictures of all time. This man, a seriously-attired biker [the pedal kind, not pedal-to-the-metal] parked his bike outside a coffee shop I was sitting in, bought a latte, and proceeded to chain-smoke half a pack of cigarettes while reading a novel of some kind. I have no idea how he managed to make it home!

what's this? a girlie infiltrating our ranks...
nice shot missus - love the spiders!
Welcome! I like the shot too. I think as long as you have the right clothes, you can call yourself a biker.
Very nice first post.
And Gaz, Yels is actually the second female we've had on the team. We just happened to drive away the first one.
Looking forward to more.
..are they spiders or ants? i think they might be ants actually... giant ants... no wait, spiders!
Hopefully I won't be so easily driven away.
I think they're ants... ? Spiders would have eight creepy legs whereas these only have six.
The comments were better than I could have hoped for!
Oh, and it's MISS to you, sirs.
*trying to communicate smile and good will, not sure if it's coming through in type...*
Pretty sure those are ants. I know it looks like 8 legs, but 2 of the "legs" are antennas I believe (plus their bodies have three sections where a spider's would only have 2 I think). Bullbunky's going to be jealous that you managed to incorporate graffiti into a Strangers shot (he had a whole graffiti thing going for a while).
And Yels, I'm insanely curious how you uploaded the photo since when I try to see the larger image it forces a download. I thought that only happened if you removed the -h from the URL, but your URL has a -R in it.
Your nerd is showing, James!
As for the picture, I'm not sure how I managed that. I was having some trouble last night uploading it [it just spun for about 10 minutes till I cancelled and tried again]. It's not a huge file... who knows.
Ok, I finally got irritated and tracked down the image problem and fixed it (well, I used a potential workaround, so if blogger every fixes the problem my work around might not be valid anymore, I saved off the original picture code in a draft post).
As for the why it wasn't working correctly it's because blogger has a new bug. There's a potential workaround in known issues.
Your nerd is showing, James!
LOL!!!
James' nerd is always showing!
Welcome aboard! Fantastic image. There is so much going on in this shot, but it all comes together perfectly.
And James...I don't think any of us want to see your nerd. This is a family-friendly blog.
